Dr. Helen Vuong PhD

Helen received her PhD at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2015. Her postdoctoral training was in the laboratory of Dr. Elaine Hsiao, where she investigated the role of the maternal microbiome in fetal development. Her lab is interested in dissecting the role of the microbiome in the development of neural circuits and behaviors in health and neurodevelopmental disorders. She aims to leverage the microbiome for diagnoses and therapeutic potential in neurodevelopmental disorders.
